The Operations Division is the largest division within the Fort Myers Fire Department. This division is responsible for all emergency and nonemergency response activities including fire suppression, marine, emergency medical services, hazardous materials, technical rescue, and public assistance.
The Operations Division is comprised of 126 personnel working three alternating 24-hour shifts. The Operations Division operates out of six stations; staffing six engines, two ladder trucks, and two rescue units. The division also has several specialty units including hazardous materials, technical rescue and two fire boats.
